Council Meeting

That the addendum to the agenda to add an additional closed session item under open meeting exemption "k" of section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001 be approved; and That the agenda be approved as amended.

That the minutes of the Council meeting held on April 10, 2024, be adopted.

That the minutes of the Special Council meeting held on April 12, 2024, be adopted.

That Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs adopt the Consent Agenda for information, as circulated, less items 9.3.4 and 9.3.9; and That all items contained therein be approved.

That staff be directed to forward a letter of support of the resolution passed by the Township of Perry.

That staff be directed to forward a letter of support of the resolution passed by Loyalist Township.

That the minutes of the Committee of the Whole meeting held on April 17, 2024 be adopted, including recommendations COW2024-035 to COW2024-043, less COW2024-035 and COW2024-038.

That COW2024-035 and COW2024-038 be adopted.

Whereas, Council has given consideration to the written comments submitted by the agencies in the decision on proposed Zoning By-law Amendment Application Z-01-24 for Lillian Deiter, for property located at PLAN 857 LOT 43,44 PT LOT 35;RP 16R6795 PART 4; and Whereas Council has considered oral submissions made at the Public Meeting; Therefore be it resolved that Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs is satisfied that the proposed amendment is consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement 2020 and other governing regulations; and That By-law 2024-024 be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

That By-law 2024-025, being a By-law to to authorize a franchise agreement between the Corporation of the Township of Georgian Bluffs and Enbridge Gas Inc, be read a first and second time, and presented for the third and final reading and passing at a future meeting.

That By-law 2024-026, being a By-law to being a By-law to appoint Deputy Chief Building Officials and Inspectors for the Corporation of the Township of Georgian Bluffs, be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

That By-law 2024-027, being a By-law to being a By-law to appoint James Special Services (JSS) as a Municipal By-law Enforcement Officers for the Township of Georgian Bluffs, be read a first, second and third time, and finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation, and engrossed in the By-law Book.

That Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs move into closed session at 5:23 p.m. in the Council Chambers with the CAO, Director of Corporate Services, Director of Development and Infrastructure and Manager of Legislative Services/Clerk remaining in the room to discuss: 18.1 Approval of Closed Session Minutes 18.2 A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board (open meeting exemption "c" of section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001) - Offer to Sell Lands in the former Keppel Township 18.3 A position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations

That By-law No. 2024-028, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of Council on May 1, 2024, be read a first, second and third time, finally passed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed with the Seal of the Corporation and engrossed in the By-law Book.

That the meeting be adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
